6 May 1944 Brandon, Suffolk. AF W 3008 and 3009. Appendices 1 and 2.

The Field Return of Officers showed no change in personnel from the last April return.

10 May 1944

Commencement of Exercise SHISHAN.

13 May 1944

Exercise SHISHAN – less residue.

13 May 1944

AF W 3008 and 3009. Appendices 3 and 4.

17 May 1944

Exercise SHISHAN ends.

20 May 1944

AF W 3008 and 3009. Appendices 5 and 6.

21 May 1944

AF W 3008 and 3009. Appendices 7 and 8.

The Field Return of Officers shows six in post against the War Establishment of six – although two posts were held by 2nd Lieutenants against full Lieutenants on the establishment.

The Field Return of Other Ranks showed a strength of 182 men against the establishment of 184, with six men surplus to establishment and 8 reinforcements required – the balance of ranks continued to show a shortage of Staff Sergeants and Sergeants with a small surplus of Corporals.
