Served Normandy. KILLED in ACTION with 11th Bn Durham Light Infantry 29/6/1944.

St Manvieu War Cemetery, Cheux. Headstone inscription reads:- "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR OTHERS".
