09:00 hours. Precautionary measures of defence overhauled. Preparations continued for move to Annual Training at WHITBY. Telephones manned day and night.

25 August 1939 – Sunderland

09:00 hours. Code Telegram “Allenby” received by 74th Field Regiment (the "parent" unit of 125th Field Regiment) and communicated to this unit. Key Party called up. Details of the Key Party were set out on Appendix A, reference to which is made below.

26 August 1939 – Sunderland

Final arrangements for move to WHITBY completed. Troops embussed at Livingstone Road Drill Hall, SUNDERLAND, 14:30 hours. Troops arrived at WHITBY Camp 18:00 hours.

27 August 1939 – Whitby

18:00 hours. Issue of Stores to Batteries. Vehicle Board on hired Vehicles.

28 August 1939 – Whitby

18:00 hours. Commander, Royal Artillery 50th Division visited Unit in Camp. Section training under Battery arrangements.
