Regiment located at MOTHERWELL.

The ensuing period was devoted to Battery training in Brigade support in the Assault Role at C.T.C. Castle Toward. With the exception of Divisional Exercise “BRIDGEHEAD”.

“F” Troop 191 Battery returns from Leave.

8 October 1943 Motherwell/Toward.

386 Battery move to C.T.C. – Exercise “AFLOAT”. Continue training with 70th Infantry Brigade.

16 October 1943

274, 191, RHQ move to C.T.C. Castle Toward.

Continue training with 70th Infantry Brigade at Castle Toward.

18 October 1943 Motherwell.

12 Royal Armoured Corps Driver/Mechanic Instructors arrive to start cadre course on return from Castle Toward.

23 October 1943

12 Royal Armoured Corps Driver/Mechanic Instructors to join course with arrivals of 18.

30 October 1943

Royal Armoured Corps Motor Transport Circus reports, proceed on leave until unit returns from Toward.

Captain Brown 191 Battery reports as Instructor to 49 Division Assault School, Dunblane.
