4 November 1942 – St Donats, Llantwit Major, Glamorgan.
Lieut Colonel D V G Brock attended a Conference presided by the Colonel of the Middlesex Regiment, Brevet Colonel M Brown, which all Middlesex and Kensington Commanding Officers attended.
The object was to discuss the proposed new War Establishments for Support Companies, which had recently been issued.
6 November 1942
An Educational Lecture was given to the Battalion today, by Captain Tilyi (Fighting French Forces) on “In France today”.
9 November 1942

Captain T A Barton posted to Leeds University S.T.C.
11 November 1942
Today the Battalion dropped its Machine Gun role and commenced re-organising into a Support Battalion.
Headquarters Company was disbanded and the old members distributed to other Companies within the Battalion.

Lieut T B Walsh appointed Battalion Education Officer.
Lieut J T Stanyer appointed Battalion Gas Officer.
13 November 1942
G Company moved today from Woodford House, Llantwit Major to The Miners Rest Camp at St Athens.

The Colonel of the Middlesex Regiment, Brevet Colonel M Brown, visited the Battalion for two days. Brigadier Procter also stayed the night.

49 Divisional Transport Exercise “Monte Carlo III” took place today. The Battalion was placed ninth in the Division.
26 November 1942
A.A.G. Liaison Western Command, Lieut-Col Philby, visited the Battalion.
27 November 1942
The G.O.C. Major General H O Curtis paid a very brief visit in the morning and stayed to lunch.
A lecture was given by Lieut J Volsik, Czechoslovakian Forces on “Czechoslovakia”.

Lieut Clayden posted to duty with G Company with effect from 25 November 1942.

The first official copy of the new War Establishments were received today.
Amongst many other changes, the War Establishment does not include a second in command, Quartermaster, RSM, RQMS or Orderly Room Sergeant.
