5 – 8 January 1941 – FREETOWN, SIERRA LEONE.

Officer Commanding proceeded ashore to visit Connaught Hospital and Tropical Medicine Research Institute.

Instructions were received in recognition of mosquitoes and for malaria parasites.

At sea – no incidents.

25 – 29 January 1941

At DURBAN shore leave granted each day to all personnel.

30 January – 15 February 1941

At sea.
