Discharged under King's Regulations 1940 Para 390 (xvi) 6/2/1944.

Given his date of discharge it is probable that Sgt Alderson was repatriated from captivity early - due perhaps to sickness - which is probably the reason why he does not appear in the Register of PoWs for WW2.
