Information contained in the Brigade HQ War Diary indicates that Pte Day had served in 1st Tyneside Scottish and had been posted to work at Brigade HQ.  The information was checked with the DLI Enlistment Book which makes no mention of a transfer to The Black Watch.  The entry in the Brigade document may therefore be in error.
