Died/Killed in action DIED of Dysentery, Beri Beri, malaria and debility 7/9/1943. Buried initially in Grave 150 at Kanchanaburi Paper Mill by Reverend Davidson. Re-interred 30/1/1946 in Grave 2.J.7. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "WE LONG FOR THE TOUCH OF A VANISHED HAND THE SOUND OF A VOICE THAT IS STILL". Probate granted 15/7/1946 at Newcastle upon Tyne to Ethel Miller Forster, wife of John Alfred Forster.
Home address Son of John Alfred and Ethel Miller Forster of Berwick on Tweed. John had lived at 10, Bankhill, Berwick on Tweed, with his family.
