Additional information on John Holden kindly supplied by the Archivist of the Glider Pilot Regiment.  Given that his proposed transfer to that Regiment apparently did not take place, there is a discrepancy in the DLI records which fails to account for his service between 2/2/1943 and 16/11/1945 - currently this remains unexplained.
