Regimental records, and the 1939 Register, show that John and his family (probably siblings) lived at 10, Cowpen Road, Cowpen, Blyth. Research suggests that he married Isabella Dryden Q2 1940 - registered in Newcastle upon Tyne. (This information needs confirmation as there are similar entries for men with the same name).
