Home address Married Madeline M Stevens in Bilston, West Midlands, September 1949. His father went as a missionary to Southern Rhodesia in 1927 and was there until 1938. So although it is expected James accompanied his parents we have not yet been able to confirm that. He did sail from Southampton to Cape Town in 1935 arriving there in August and returning in early October, so it is expected he visited his parents then - perhaps before he went to university?
