Research has not produced any further specific information, beyond that included on the McGregor Index of DLI Officers.  The London Gazette has no entries for the relevant Officer Number beyond that for his original commissioning - for example, there cannot be traced any entry regarding his promotion to War Substantive Lieutenant or to Acting Captain.  No entry has been found to support the PoW Camp and Number details traced in the McGregor file cards.  The common occurrence of the name has hindered genealogical investigation.  Anyone with more specific details is acsked to contact the Lead Researcher at 70brigade@newmp.org.uk
