Died/Killed in action DIED 1/4/1944 - cause of death Cardiac beri beri and heart failure following amoebic dysentery. Interred in Grave 107, H & F Force No. 4 Cemetery, Kanchanaburi. Re-interred 14/1/1946 in Grave 2.D.9. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "ONE OF GOD'S LOVELIEST FLOWERS THAT EVER BLOOMED. SWEET MEMORIES NEVER FADE". Probate granted 1/4/1946 at Newcastle upon TYne to David Stanbury, wagon driver.
Home address Son of David and Helena Stanbury. Father lived at East Bungalow, Netherton Training School, Morpeth, Northumberland.
