Transferred to the Corps of Military Police 2/9/1940, and posted to the 58th Traffic Control Company - Auth: Pt II 1st TS 23/40, (BW Book 358 OS 30 shows a deleted trf to CMP 50 T.C.G. 25/1/41 under ACI 626 of 1939). Transferred to the Royal Fusiliers 17/3/1943, unable to trace further transfers.

Home address CMP Books show the transfer in from the Black Watch as dated 25/1/1941 and a possible transfer date to the Royal Fusiliers of 30/8/1943. Other inter-unit transfers may have occurred and need to be verified in his Service Record, a copy of which would be most helpful. He was included in the "missing" list compiled in 1942 and account of his transfer out of the Battalion does not seem to have been taken into account. He was listed as "No Trace".
