CWGC's database record does not include details of Pte Vallely's Battalion at the time of his death.  There is some suggestion that he was serving with 6th Battalion The Durham Light Infantry, but the Black Watch and DLI Enlistment Books do not show a transfer back to the DLI.  Pending information from his Service Record, it is assumed that he was with 1st Tyneside Scottish at the time he was wounded.
