Disembarked in UK from 1st Battalion 11/10/1939. Posted to No 4 I.T.C. Brancepeth. Attached to the HQ of 42nd Division 22/10/1939. Attached to the 11th Battalion DLI 27/10/1939. Served B.E.F. Posted to the 11th Battalion DLI as Acting Captain 24/9/1940. Served Iceland. Posted to 166 OCTU, Douglas, Isle of Man as Instructor 25/3/1943. Attached to the Leicestershire Regiment and posted to the 1st Battalion. Served Normandy? Posted to Headquarters, 6th Air Landing Brigade - served Palestine 27/9/1945 to 13/2/1946. Retired as Major 12/8/1958. Ceased RARO liability 30/4/1967.
