Discharged at the termination of his engagement 28/5/1931. Re-Enlisted in the 6th DLI 11/6/1931. Posted 10th Bn DLI - probably 1/9/1939. Served B.E.F. The Auckland Chronicle of 18th July 1940 reported that he was "Missing". Taken Prisoner of War - probably on 20/5/1940 - notification received on 29/7/1940, a report to this effect appearing in the Auckland Chronicle of 8/8/1940. Repatriated to the UK. Discharged under King's Regulations 1940 Para 390 (xvi) 8/10/1945 as no longer fit for service.
