Posted to the 10th Bn DLI - date not yet known but known to have been with 10th Battalion in France on 11/5/1940, so may have been mobilised 1/9/1939. Served B.E.F. Served Iceland? Transferred to the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers 20/8/1942. Transferred to the Army Catering Corps 9/9/1944 - Daily Orders M70/44, documents sent.

Home address Son of John G Watkins (1877 - 1950) and Lily Clark Kilburn (1879 - ? ) Born Holy Trinity, Hartlepool. Worked as a Labourer. Next of kin was his uncle James Kilburn, of Warren St. Hartlepool. No trace yet of a marriage.
