1 September 1942 Bryngwyn.

Instructions received for Field General Court Martial to be held at Bryngwyn regarding Driver Collier.

2 September 1942

Lieutenant D Mortimer proceeded to Lichfield Military Hospital for medical examination.

3 September 1942

Unit attended Service for National Day of Prayer.

Captain Poole leaves to make reconnaissance of new billeting and harbouring area.

4 September 1942

Normal routine training.

6 September 1942

Unit proceeded on Exercise “Wetshod” at 18:30 hours. C.O. with HQ, Captain Poole, 2/Lieutenant Horrocks and 2/Lieutenant Winton in command of A, B and C Sections. Lieutenant A Campbell in command of Rear Party.

7 September 1942

Cleaning of Camp etc.

8 September 1942

Instruction received from Officer i/c Records to post five drivers forthwith, order received 21:30 hours.

9 September 1942

Two drivers posted to 276 General Transport Company and three drivers to 263 General Transport Company as per instructions of Officer i/c Records.

Captain G Williams, District Claims Officer C.M.D.visited Unit.

Unit returned from Exercise “Wetshod” at 02:30 hours.

Posting instructions received for Major Lewis to take command of 13 Lines of Communication Company RASC.

Move of Unit to Holmes Chapel cancelled.

15 September 1942

C.O. attends Conference at 10:15 hours at HQ CRASC.

Major J S P Hall-Patch TD RASC arrived to take over command of Unit.

16 September 1942

Major R H Lewis left to take over command of No. 13 Lines of Communication Company RASC. Major J S P Hall-Patch took over command of the Company.

17 September 1942

Sanitary condition of Camp inspected by Captain  ? RAMC.

18 September 1942

Two coaches carried Officers of 70th and 146th Brigades to Cardiff for lecture.

19 September 1942

All Officers attended Conference at HQ CRASC 49 Division at 10:00 hours.

Warning Order received for three Officers and seventy Other Ranks to be available for ferrying vehicles from September 21st to October 6th.

Seven coaches carried personnel from 70th Infantry Brigade from Kington to Hereford for tank demonstration.

20 September 1942

Thirty-one coaches carried personnel of 70th and 146th Brigades to tank demonstration at Hereford.

Advice received that 60 Troop Carrying vehicles would arrive on September 23rd and 57 coaches would be handed over in exchange.

21 September 1942

Lieutenant D Mortimer proceeded on three days’ Army Education Course at University of Birmingham.

22 September 1942

24 September 1942

Captain Poole, Captain Horrocks, 2/Lt Winton and seventy Other Ranks left Divisional area for special duty with No. 3 M.T. Depot Ashchurch.

2/Lieutenant Winton returned from duty with No.3 M.T. Depot Ashchurch.
