Private Akroyd was listed on the manpower schedule of Brigade HQ staff in Iceland on 1/1/1941, along with the Lead Researcher's father. Only surnames were included on the list, unfortunately, which hampered his specific identification in DLI records, together with the fact that his name was spelled Akroyd. It is now considered that this was indeed Frank Akeroyd.
