			Given his date of discharge it is probable that Sgt Alderson was repatriated from captivity early - due perhaps to sickness - which is probably the reason why he does not appear in the Register of PoWs for WW2.

			There are too many men with the same name on genealogical records to be able to be certain about identification for birth and death data.
