-|Home address=Father - Thomas Bailey.  Mother - Frances Bailey.  In the 1911 Census he was resident in Elswick, Northumberland.  Married Mary G Bowater in Chester-Le-Street in October 1935.  Following the marriage the couple lived in Birtley and had one child - Marie Bailey, who subsequently married Peter Henry White and had two daughters.  He worked at Henley's Cable Facory in Birtley and was also a member of a Concert Party, continuing the sort of performances he had been involved in whilst in PoW Camp.
