In respect of this entry, Collins' name appears in both the lists of Lance Corporals and Corporals - suggesting a promotion and a duplication in the Book.. It has therefore been assumed it is the same soldier. It is not impossible, however, that while both entries in the Book show the same initials, these could be brothers of differing ranks - until the Regimental Numbers and forenames are obtained this must remain as a query.
