Married Jean Cherry Drummond - later confirmed in 1986 as Lady Strange (who died in 2005) - and subsequently moved to the family seat - Megginch Castle [https://handedon.wordpress.com/2018/05/16/megginch-castle-perthshire/], Perthshire upon which he took her name.  Post-war he worked for Indian Political Service and then the National Trust as Welsh representative.  Published author.  Had a total of six children - three sons and three daughters.&lt;br /&gt;
