Mother Mary Hannah Roseby.  In the 1911 Census he was shown as living at Grange Villa, Hetton le Hole.  Later at 21 William Street, Hetton Downs.  In the 1939 Register he is shown as married  (January 1928 in Wallsend) and living with his wife Doris - nee Heatherington - born 26/11/1905 - and working as a red leader at the shipyard.

-Unfortunately the Card for John George within the Royal Artillery Tracer Cards held on Ancestry.co.uk is missing, so his earlier and later postings have not been able to be identified as yet.  He was not transferred with his comrades to the 125th Anti-Tank Regiment, which was, sadly, captured at Singapore and suffered considerable casualties in Japanese hands, as he was transferred to 62nd Anti-Aircraft Regiment in 1939.
