|Home address=Father Robert Wray (1881 - 1943), mother - Catherine Miller (1883 - 1963). In 1921 Henry was living in Gateshead with his family. Henry married Christine Gettings (1918 - 1997) in Gatehead in July 1939. In the 1939 General Register he is shown as being a member of the 12th Battalion DLI and working as a Colliery Haulage Driver. It is known that due to the enthusiastic ratte of enlistment among mineworkers men were "combed out" and returned to their Civilian occupation - as was Henry - as they were demmed potentially more valuable to the War Effort.
