Wounded and taken Prisoner of War on 22/06/1940 (PoW card shows 22/5/1940 - the later date my have been notification date) at St. Pol, France. Repatriated before the end of the War on the vessel Drotningholm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Drottningholm - probably due to his injury. Discharged under King's Regulations 1940 Para 390 (xvi) 3/8/1944.

Home address Father - Thomas Bailey. Mother - Frances Bailey. In the 1911 Census he was resident in Elswick, Northumberland. Married Mary G Bowater in Chester-Le-Street in October 1935.
