Exercise “OWL I” took place – this was a daylight drill for a Battalion night advance.
7th September 1943
Exercise “OWL II” took place – a night advance with Artillery and Medium Machine Gun support, followed by a consolidation of the Battalion.
10th – 12th September 1943
The Small Arms School Hythe Travelling Wing visited the Battalion and held a short cadre for NCOs and gave several demonstrations.
13th September 1943
A visit to the Battalion was paid by representatives of the 33rd Army Tank Brigade. Lectures were given on Tank and Infantry co-operation to all Companies. Four Tanks were on show.
