Member of D Company 2nd Kensingtons. Aged 23.

Died of wounds on 18th August 1944 in the HALLAMS Battalion Regimental Aid Post as a result of being hit by mortar fragments in the chest. Identified by Captain M L King.

Buried initially in a corner of an orchard - Map 75/4 reference 273592.

Interred in Grave I.E.2. St Desir War Cemetery.
