Thanks to the research done by Mrs Verity Majumdar, we are able to set out below a set of unique images of a Mule-Pack Battery in training - in this case, 452 Battery at Aviemore, Scotland, in 1942. The images are self-explanatory and present a detailed view of the men, animals, specialist harness and the 3.7 Howitzers being put through their paces.
A second set of photographs, taken a year later - in 1943 - during Winter Warfare Training in Scotland have been included below. In the Officer Group photograph, Captain Cohen is seated second from left.
