Returned to the South Wales Borderers on the outbreak of War. Served Norway, Greece and the Western Desert. Attached 70 Brigade 3/4/1942. Posted 1st Battalion, South Wales Borderers in command February 1943 - June 1945. Commanded a Battalion as part of BAOR. Retired 12/7/1958 and granted the rank of Honorary Colonel.
