The Field Return of Officers showed that all six were present with the Unit but that a new Operations Officer was in post – replacing Captain Gregory – this was Captain W. W. Laidler, RAOC, who had taken up post on 15/4/1944.
The Field Return of Other Ranks indicated a strength of 181 men against the 184 establishment with three reinforcements required and three sergeants surplus to the establishment – again linked to a shortage of Staff Sergeants.
