In documenting events affecting individual members of the Unit, the author of the War Diary followed the usual practice in mentioning Officers by name - and those names have then been extracted and included on the list below. However, when mentioning Other Ranks, only the Regimental Number has been quoted in almost all cases. As it did not prove possible to access the Royal Engineers Enlistment Books, as they are stored in such a way as to be inaccessible to researchers such as ourselves, the list below only uses those Numbers to identify individuals. They have been listed in numerical order. Should any family member be able to identify an individual from their Regimental Number, please contact the researcher, using the e-mail link below, and the full details will then be included in the Personnel list.
