Knowledge of Signaller Blake came from a document within the Durham County Record Record in which he recorded his initial impressions of life in the Territorial Army, including War being declared while he and his comrades were attending their first TA Camp near Scarborough. At this stage we do not have details of his further service but research on this will continue. As far as can be seen, he did not serve with the B.E.F. but that is not certain.
