Caution must be expressed about the identification of this man. He is listed as a PoW alongside men captured in May 1940, yet the Brigade War Diary shows him on the Brigade Staff in Iceland on 1/1/1941. There is either another man with the same surname in the same Battalion with whom this entry is confused, or he was captured in Normandy in 1944. Hopefully family information will be able to clear this up.
