There is a possible confusion of records between Pte John TAYLOR and Lance Sergeant John TAYLOR. Both have the same Regimental Number and therefore one record may be a duplicate of the other. However, L/Sgt TAYLOR was a casualty in Normandy while Pte TAYLOR apparently transferred to REME. Records are being followed up to ascertain the facts and entries will be amended and corrected in due course.
