Fusilier William Wait - commemorated on this page - was the brother of Fusilier Thomas Wait, who died of Dysentery in captivity at Kanchanaburi in 1943, and is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. This, sadly, is a feature of local Territorial Battalions where brothers and cousins often joined together. The two brothers' Regimental Numbers are only two digits apart.
