Home address Family history research indicates that Fusilier Laidler's father was probably Richard Laidler, born 1877/8 and died in Newcastle in 1925. His mother Mary was formerly Rouan and lived at 13, Woodlands, Rothbury. He had siblings William, James, Sarah D and May Isabella. His remains were buried initially by Reverend J F Short, Chaplain to the Forces (subsequently deceased). Re-interred in grave 2.Q.30. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.
