1 June 1942 NANTMOR.
22:00 hours. Major H D LEWIS RAVC D.A.D.V. & R.S. Southern and Western Commands visited the unit and inspected all animals. Recommended change of standings to prevent loss in condition. Weather cloudy and dark and raining at intervals.
2 June 1942
21:30 hours. Nothing special to report. Weather dark and cloudy all day.
3 June 1942
22:30 hours. Nothing special to report.. Weather clear and bright all day.
4 June 1942
22:30 hours. Brigadier C A MURRAY O.B.E. D.A.V. & R. Services, War Office, accompanied by D.A.D.V. & R.S. Southern and Western Commands visited Detachment 29 Mule Company and inspected all animals. C.O. returned from leave. Weather bright and clear all day.
5 June 1942
22:00 hours. Brigadier C A MURRAY O.B.E. D.A.V.& R.S. War Office accompanied by D.A.D.V. & R.S. Southern and Western Commands visited the unit and inspected all animals of No. 2 Sub-Division and HQ Section. Weather bright and very warm all day.
6 June 1942
21:30 hours. Welfare Officer Indian Contingent visited the unit in the morning. Weather bright and warm all day.
7 June 1942
22:30 hours. Welfare Officer gave cinema show to Detachment in YMCA tent. Lieut H THOMAS RIASC delivered a lecture on “CURRENT AFFAIRS”. Lieut A F ESTLICK RIASC carried out reconnaissance of area near PORTMADOC Railway Station for dumping baggage of three Mule Companies before move. Weather uncertain sun shining at intervals.
8 June 1942
22:30 hours. O.C. admitted to Reception Station Hospital PORTMADOC. Lieut A F ESTLICK assumed temporary command of the Company. Weather uncertain, sun shining at intervals, little rain in the evening.
9 June 1942
22:30 hours. Rissaldar Major and Honorary Lieutenant MOHD ASHRAF I.O.M., I.D.S.M. visited the unit. Weather cloudy and dark all day.

22:00 hours. 80 Remount horses arrived from No. 2 Remount Depot DERBY. Weather fine and clear all day.

21:30 hours. Temporary C.O. returned from SCOTLAND on completion of duty. Major R B Le-CORNU M.C. RIASC, Commanding Officer, returned from leave.
D.A.D.V. & R.S. Southern and Western Commands, accompanied by the Senior Veterinary Officer, Indian Contingent visited the unit. Weather clear and bright all day.

22:00 hours. Commander, Indian Contingent visited the unit and had a conference with C.O. Weather cloudy in the morning but clear and bright in the afternoon.

22:00 hours. C.O. visited Detachment 29 Mule Company RIASC and inspected all animals. Weather clear and warm all day.

20:00 hours. Nothing particular to report. Weather clear and bright whole day. Very warm day.
