Died/Killed in action DIED 15/6/1962 from a perforated gastric ulcer. Initially interred Grave 3/L/12 Changi Cemetery. Re-interred 23/4/1946 in Grave 9.C.9. Kranji War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO HIM, O LORD; AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM".
Home address Son of William Humpish and Isabella Humpish (nee Crozier). Lived with his family in Byker in 1911 at the time of the Census. Married Doris Wigg, Q3 1943, Newcastle upon Tyne. Husband of Doris Humpish, who lived at 12 Creswell Street, Byker. (CWGC show Bellingham, County Durham).
