Died/Killed in action DIED 16/7/1945 - cause of death Typhus and Beri Beri. Interred in Grave 61, Diitrey at 12Km mark, 20Km Nong Hin, Margui Road. Re-interred 4/4/1946 in Grave 6.E.44. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "'AT REST' HIS LOVING WIFE RENE". Probate granted 25/6/1946 at Newcastle upon Tyne to his widow.
