With the Battalion on disbandment 26/8/1944. Transferred to the Green Howards 30/8/1944. Posted 7th Bn Green Howards. KILLED in ACTION with 7th Bn Green Howards 12/9/1944.

Geel War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "WE HAVE LOST HIM HEAVEN HAS FOUND HIM. OUR LOVING MEMORY. MOTHER, FATHER, BABE". Probate granted 12/5/1945, Llandudno Registry.
