K. 20, probably on 14/2/1945. Headstone inscription reads "EVER PRESENT IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO LOVED HIM". Probate granted to his father at 15 Pollitt Stret, Barnsley, from York office on 3/3/1945.
Home address Son of Arthur Thomas Hatfield (retired Baths Superintendent) and Clara Hatfield; husband of Margaret Hatfield, of Barnsley, Yorkshire. In the 1939 General Register he was living in lodgings in Barnsley and working as a Municipal Engineer. In October 1940 in Barnsley he married Margaret Hope.
