Served with the B.E.F. in Northern France. Listed as MISSING 11/5/40, 31/5/40, 20/6/40. Presumed to have been KILLED in ACTION 20/5/1940 at Ficheux.

Task or role Probably Rifleman.

Wounded No - apart from the injuries which caused his death.

Died/Killed in action 20-May-40. Benjamin's remains were temporarily interred in the village of Ficheux before being moved to the CWGC Cemetery (further work will be done on this to clarify dates etc). Buried Special Memorial Plot Number 8. Row J. Grave 1. BUCQUOY ROAD CEMETERY, Ficheux.
