3rd May 1942

The Battalion joined with the AFS in putting out a heath fire endangering the Camp.


4th – 6th May 1942


The Brigade exercised in the area where “The Drum” was filmed.


11th May 1942


35 Other Ranks left to join the 1st Tyneside Scottish.


Major Wilkinson was injured seriously by a ricochet from a 36 Grenade.


12th May 1942

14th May 1942


The Battalion moved to PORTMADOC and took up residence in LLANION BARRACKS.


23rd May 1942


The new Regimental Sergeant Major took up post – Mr Osman. The Battalion exercised as a Mobile Column.
