Night bridging exercise. 120 foot Double Span Bailey at 67/823170. No snags.

5 February 1944

Second in Command and two Subalterns on day Signals Exercise.

11 February 1944

Corporal Waite and Sapper Knott on six weeks’ course for reclassification as Vehicle mechanics.

Pakefield Rifle Range.

14 February 1944

Lt Burdett and 3 NCOs run 2 day concentration for Pioneer Platoons of 146 Infantry Brigade.

Commandant Royal Engineers inspected 1 and HQ Platoons. Drill and turnout.

15 February 1944

Commandant Royal Engineers inspected 2 and 3 Platoons. Drill and turnout.

16 February 1944

Unit paraded for address by Commander in Chief 21st Army Group at SOTTERLEY PARK.

17 February 1944

Construction of Bailey Pontoon Bridge across the River YARE at SURLINGHAM FERRY 67/765255. All vehicles of 146 Infantry Brigade Group drove over the bridge to gain experience of military bridges.

22 February 1944

Unit proceeds on block leave to March 2nd.

26 February 1944

Divisional Boxing Championship 1st round. Beat HALLAMS.
