2 Austin Utilities, Nos. M 4423958 and M 4423959 received from No. 26 Vehicle Replacement Depot (“K” V.C.) Attingham.

Captain KENYON, RAOC, CO 146 Infantry Brigade Workshop Company, late Training Est. LEICESTER, discussed training programmes for REME Workshop Units.

1 Morris 30cwt B.D. received from 30 Vehicle Replacement Depot, Raby Castle, No. L 4149915. 2nd Driver/Mechanics Course dispersed.

5 December 1942

3 Canadian Ford 3-ton lorries Nos. L 4640809, L 776321 and L 776322 received from No. 30 Vehicle Replacement Depot, RABY CASTLE.

6 December 1942

Captain COLLINGS, Adjutant CREME and Captain Jackson, CRA 49 Division inspected accommodation at ABERMARLAIS PARK, LLANGADOCK.

7 – 8 December 1942

Major J D NOBLE recce’d CARMARTHEN for suitable accommodation for Workshops, but accommodation unsuitable.

10 December 1942

S.W. District Kinema Projector unit showed 2 training films – Platoon in Attack and Platoon in Defence, also a recreational film.

9 C.I. 4-wheeled drive Ford 3-ton lorries Nos. L 4964202, 4963987, 4964175, 4963986, 4964190, 4964178, 4964000, 496179 (suspect that this number is short of one digit), 4964164 received from 29 Vehicle Replacement Depot BREEDON.

15 December 1942

Col BARNES ADOS 49 Division held conference with Officers commanding Workshops and Ordnance Officer reference the Ordnance layout for the Workshop Companies.

16 December 1942

Captain ELRICK Acting Staff Captain for 70th Brigade informed that the proposed living accommodation at YSTRAD CAMP, CAMARTHEN was impracticable and instructed O.C. to recce LLANDILO.

2/Lt THOMPSON posted WOUM/112/ORD/1478(AG9) dated 10 December 1942 for instruction in O.F.P. procedure.

17 December 1942

Major NOBLE recce’d LLANDILO for Workshops accommodation and living accommodation. Workshops accommodation NIL, living accommodation possible but not suitable.

22 December 1942

Major NOBLE recce’d Pembroke Dock (LLANION BARRACKS). Workshops accommodation very good. Living accommodation suitable.

1 Bedford 15cwt truck No. Z 4763160 received from C.O.O. OLD DALBY.

24 December 1942
