1 October 1943 East Rogerton

1 Officer and two Other Ranks proceeded as Camp Party for 49 Infantry Division Exercise BRIDGEHEAD.

2 October 1943

1 Officer and 11 Other Ranks joined 70 Infantry Brigade Group as AWD (Advanced Workshop Detachment) (Assault Scale) for Exercise BRIDGEHEAD.

5 October 1943

Exercise BRIDGEHEAD completed – AWD rejoined unit.

7 October 1943

1 Officer and 1 NCO proceeded on cadre at C.T.C. ROTHESAY with Brigade Group.

8 October 1943

15:00 hours. Unit convoy left location for Concentration Area (WHITE HO) on Exercise REMEDY.

17:00 hours – WHITE HO JOHNSTONE. Unit convoy arrived WHITE HO Concentration Area.

9 October 1943

14:05 hours. Warning Order received Administration Group to move night 9/10 October.

23:55 hours. Move Order received.

10 October 1943

03:00 hours. Unit convoy left location for move to CAPRINGTON CASTLE.

07:00 hours – CAPRINGTON CASTLE. Unit convoy arrived CAPRINGTON CASTLE and Workshop established.

15:45 hours. Cease fire Exercise REMEDY.

19:30 hours. Unit convoy returned to location.

14 October 1943.

Advance Party for Unit Party to C.T.C. ROTHESAY.

15 October 1943

Main Body – 1 Officer and 45 Other Ranks, 7 vehicles, proceeded to GREENOCK to embark WEMYSS BAY for C.T.C. ROTHESAY at 08:00 hours 16 October.

18 October 1943 EAST ROGERTON.

Received Amendment No. 1 to W.E. II/339/2 – establishment to include 4 Driver/Operators and 2 15cwt trucks fitted for wireless in place of 15cwt G.S.
