Research shows Captain Johnson as Company Commander of the Support Company within the 11th Battalion at the time of Normandy - this may need confirmation as it depends on the Order of Battle, with either the Mortars and Carriers as Platoons within a Support Company, or within the HQ Company with Signals and Transport.

Captain Johnson was made Honorary Secretary of the 8th/11th Battalions Old Comrades Association in April 1960.
